March 9, 2015- A Short Letter

March 9, 2015- A Short Letter
Hey family and friends,
I don't have too much time this week to write.  We went to the court earlier today so that Elder Bradshaw could meet with a judge because of the auto accident that he was involved. He ended up only needing to pay a 100-dollar fine, which was a good settlement for him.

Martin and Lani are our fastest progressing investigators right now. We have seen miracle after miracle happen for them. Last week it snowed so Martin was able to come to church since he couldn't play soccer.  This week, while he was at work, he cut off his thumb from halfway down his nail and up. He also cut off part of his bone and so he needs surgery to fix it. That means he can't play soccer for a while. We are teaching them about twice a week. We had a really good lesson with them on Saturday night about keeping the Sabbath day holy. We also talked about ordinances and the Holy Ghost. Lani asked some good questions about recognizing the influence of the Holy Ghost. Both Martin and Lani came to church again
yesterday.

I'm pretty excited because
this Wednesday we get to travel to the Raleigh, North Carolina temple for an endowment session. We plan to wake up early and drive about 4 hours down there, do the endowment session at 11, have a zone meeting and then drive 4 hours back to Norfolk.
Have a good week everyone.
Love, Elder Cannon
